The creators behind this brand new project were inspired by the natural surroundings as well as the raw beauty of the Cretan landscape. The exposure to the sea, the feeling of the salty air and the beautiful scents of the local aromatic herbs like the fresh oregano and thyme were few of the elements that blend harmoniously with the architecture language of the two properties. 

Villas Nuez are two independent spacious houses tucked amidst a piece of land in a lush beautiful garden, descending towards the sea & overlooking the charming bay of Mochlos village. With a minimal yet impactful design that celebrates a creative dialogue between indoor and outdoor living, the properties blend in harmony with the island’s surroundings. Simultaneously evoking rough & smooth aesthetics, the structures were infused with a mix of a warm ivory concrete & traditional stones of the island that together with the geometric lines resulting in an effortless connection with nature. Focusing on the traditional craftsmanship without compromising its dominant contemporary design each villa has been curated with premium materials & cutting-edge amenities. 

In a serene meditarranean setting with spectacular views from every angle the wooden pergolas in the outdoor areas, protect from the air and provide shade, allowing the guests to enjoy al fresco dining at the lounge and the dining areas. The villa's functionality and simplicity suits perfectly with the natural environment, while the spacious terrace with the infinity pools in the shades of grey and blue radiate an overwhelming sense of calmness and light. 

Moving from outside to the indoor spaces, the concept of indoor-outdoor living is translated into a structure with massive sliding doors that connect the inside with the landscape and give the illusion of living in nature. 

A soothing color palette characterizes the interior, natural furnishings, design and unique art pieces like ceramic objects keep the space modern yet cozy. The interior of each house reflects meticulous attention to every detail, few minimal artistic touches popping up around and the handpicked furniture enhance an effortless luxury living. The luminous and airy living room of each villa is an open plan space (concept)  that creates a seamless connection with the fully equipped kitchen. 

Each house comprises three master bedrooms, inspired by the Japanese philosophy, feature a mix of organic fabrics, cotton and linen adorning the bed and the curtains, while /(the solid wood of the furnishings) or the wooden furniture and earthy color patterns, creating a private relaxed sanctuary. The sense of tranquility and relaxation is enhanced  thanks to the wooden furniture?, the concrete ceilings and the contrast between the neutral grey, the sand & ivory tones. The natural surfaces (or materials)  and a soothing shades palette is consistent in  the bathrooms where the built in bathtub and the luxurious rainfall showers elevate the alluring ambience of the interiors. Add an extra layer of depth the black metal finishes, offering a sleek and  minimalistic feel.
